Yet Another House Vote

This time, the House increased the funding slightly, and voted to approve a bill.

From the Star:

TOPEKA — A $466 million, three-year school funding plan was approved 66-54 today by the Kansas House, clearing one major hurdle toward a possible adjournment tonight.

The largest amount ($153 million) will be distributed on the basis of free-lunch enrollment. A much smaller portion ($10 million) will be handed out to schools with poor test scores. About $30 million will be distributed to schools with high poverty rates.

The bill will increase per-pupil funding, meanwhile, by $176. If it’s passed, that is.
